Invention Blend Guest

Ding dong an old months gone, bing boom the new month looms

So each month we have been treating you to a new blend, as part of our guest blend series. August see’s the 8th incarnation and this time it is up to you to make the blend.

August is national invention month, where inventions of all kinds are encouraged. So were encouraging you to make a blend. A blank label and some crayons meet you first of all. Name and make the label with your best arts and craft skills. Links on October can only help you here.

Then take your coffees and make the perfect blend to go with your name, again creativity is the inventors friend. the coffees you will have are

Costa Rica La Pira Washed

This will give you floral tones and a bright acidity.

Kenya Gachica Washed Peaberry

Are you an acidity monster? Then you will be using this.

El Salvador Petrona Bourbon Natural

All abord the funky bus, fruity powerful funky natural flavours

Sumatra Wahana Rasuna Natural

Some body, some funk some base notes to the blend.

So for instance a balanced but funk blend you may go

40% Costa Rica La Pira

30 % Santa Petrona

30% Kenya Gachica Peaberry

Want something funky?

70% El Salvador Petrona Bourbon Natural

30% Sumatra Wahana Rasuna Natural

the choice is yours.

Then send in a photo of your bag, the name and the percentages of your blend to be entered into the draw to be Octobers Guest blend. The panel of judges (me, Roland and Gary) will choose our favourite blend on taste, creativity and name / label design.

We will then pass your label onto our design team who will jazz up the label make a video to go with the blend and your blend will be credited to you, and be on sale for the month of October.

    I am looking forward to inventing 😀

  2. Just curious if there is a deadline for emailing in one’s blend and photo?
    I should be able to send it this weekend, but I could get it in sooner if needed.
