Really excited about a new coffee I have just added to the website.

The Nicaraguan limoncillo’s brother the pacamara peaberry is now on the site at the link here

In the cup is very different. In the cup the front end is very floral and almost zesty acidity. But that changes with a flash into big body with a controlled sweetness with a herby parsley hint. The aftertaste is the highlight with huge body and funky overripe fruit. Great espresso and filter.

One of last years favorites is back the new crop Nicaragua Limoncilo is here. We were lucky enough to get get this last year in the cup of excellence, I know a few of you wont have tried it because of the high price. Well this time its a much nicer price, so there is no excuse. Its also improved for me with an increase in body, which means its quite at home in espresso.

It was also one of the farms I visited on my trip earlier this year. Erwin is the farm manager and his dad owns the farm. A beautiful farm thats so well looked after.

Watch out tomorrow for another varietal from this farm coming in. One of the highlights of this year.

We have waited so long for this coffee to arrive but today it did. Its been delayed due to packing, the first container was rejected because it had a taint, then the shipping company went belly up, delays and strange things that just don’t normally happen.

But at last I have it in the building and the first batch has been roasted.

All the pre orders have been fulfilled today so those lucky people who planned ahead you have a coffee treat arriving soon.

For the rest of you expect to see this coffee later tomorrow (afternoon) on the site, I’m sure I’ll post something up to let you know.

Just an update that we now have in stock new crop Jamaican Blue Mountain Clydesdale Estate.

If you have tried blue mountain before, forget it, it wasn’t as good as this one. In the cup rich flavour, full body, and a smooth interesting acidity with balanced sweetness with a hints of pine and sandalwood.

Bad news is Nicaraguan Limoncilo is all gone. The cup of excellence coffee award winner from last year, from our friend Erwin has all gone.

But the good news is we have some more on the way here very soon. Watch this space.

The El Salvador we bought a few weeks ago is finally packed and ready for shipping. With this coffee being so expensive, Ernesto has got it Vacuum packed for us, this protects it while shipping and has some benefits in keeping the green in better condition.
