Kicker Espresso Blend

So Following on from the Jailbreak Espresso blend, the plan is to build a range of espresso blends along a similar line, but all with very different goals and ideals.

We plan to revamp and rebuild the Toba, and bring back the much missed and much asked for De Lujo (in a new guise) but there has been (no pun intended) a hole in our offering since we stopped doing a cup of excellence blend. A hole for a super premium, super delicious, challenging, difficult blend that when it is right it sings like an angel.

This blend may need a machine and a level of precision to get exactly right, so its not for the uninitiated, and certainly not for the faint hearted. It will take work to nail exactly right, but when you do it is an amazing blend.

But when it is right expect a bight espresso with sweetness and substance, with sherbet lemons, with oranges and a vibrant effervescence that works super well in espresso and cuts through the milk in a pleasing way. A grown up coffee blend.

As always were proud to share the ingredients with you no secrets here.

(40%) El Salvador Finca La Ilusion Bourbon

(40%) El Salvador Finca Alaska Bourbon

(20%) Ethiopian Yirgacheffe

These are premium coffees that on their own are amazing single origin coffees, but as a blend bring sweetness, acidity, body and all around deliciousness. Oranges, Sherbet, Lemonade, Difficult. Roasted just into the first pops of second crack its a shade lighter than our Jailbreak blend, but this is where for us the coffees are at there best.

Like Jailbreak we have made a little ad to go along with it, and we have also made some wallpapers (click here). Not going to do this for every blend as it turns out to be a huge amount of work to launch, but for now I am loving the direction.
