Iphone App Mk2

So I believe we were one of the first coffee company’s to release an iphone app, and was part of the initial rush to get apps out.

But we received two bits of feedback (read feedback as criticism),one was, what was it for, and two why can I not buy coffee in the app. Seems like good feedback I guess

A good friend of Has Bean and wonderful Customer Nigel Harrison approached me a number of months ago and asked if he could have a chance at making it all better. After milliseconds of though, of course I was go go go. Nigel is an experienced developer but was new to iPhone apps and this was his first attempt. We called in the help of my good friend and Has Bean design guru Lawrence Brown to help with the look and feel. Lawrence has been (no pun intended) instrumental on the upgrades to hasblog, inmymug and hasbean web shop and is important to all things hasbean

The bad news, if you downloaded the old app then you will not get an update. This will never happen again but in my rush to release the last one, we did not control the account. Now Nigel has that covered. You will have to go to this link here and down load it (or search in the app store for hasbean)

No plans as yet for an app on Android, but if any one reading here can help, please let me know 🙂

Click here to be taken to the iTunes link, or search in the app store for ‘hasbean’.

Lots of extras, I will put together a walk through later in the week, but the blend ad’s, the brew guides are killer additions. the coffee tools will grow, and I’m interested in your help to expand these, but already the brew ratio calculator has become very useful to me, and I hope you too.

Version 1 feedback welcome, but please be gentle with us, this was done with great financial constraints, and with us all finding the time where we could. I think its superb, not because of my input but because of Lawrence and Nigel. Thanks guys

  5. I can’t get the app to launch on my iphone 3g running 4.0.1, it crashes out after the logo screen. A shame as it sounded like a nice little app

  6. Just waiting for apple to approve the update that fixes that really sorry Steve

  7. I’d be interested in porting the iphone app to Android. I have the tools, the capability and potentially the time for this.
However, I don’t have an iphone, so I’d have nothing to compare it against. Is there any way Lawrence or Nigel could provide it for porting?

  8. Glad to see its not just my crap iPhone 3G that can’t launch the app! Just installed 4.1 tonight and its still now launching.. hopefully that update comes through soon!
