Another wonderful coffee from the Cup of Excellence for your enjoyment, this time from the Colombia competition.

“Las Cochas” farm is located 12 kilometers away of Samaniego City, in the region of Nariño. It is owned by a Mr. Melo and is where he lives with his family. Grown at an altitude of 2080 meters above sea level this coffee consists of 70% Caturra and 30% native Colombia varietal.

Like all Cup of Excellence coffees this has been through a stringent and transparent tasting and evaluation, and has been awarded the mark as one of the best coffees from the region for this year. The super high price paid for this coffee is a reward to the farmer and his hard work and dedication.

In the cup expect a honey mouth-feel, with a chocolate and orange mid palette with a lovely melon-like acidity. One to savour and enjoy.
